不知道这种问题能不能在这里问。
操作系统WIN2000，数据库是SQL2000，
安装的时候，开始都是正确的，
但到最后安装程序配置服务的时候失败。安装的log文件内容如下。
这个问题，我已经在google搜索过了，也有人遇过这样问题，不过帖子都没什么人解答。

首先，如果机器安装了防火墙软件和防病毒软件，应先将其停掉并退出，然后再安装。

如果安装失败或安装完成后出现异常，可先卸载 sql server,然后重启系统，到它的安装文件夹（有两个：程序和数据）删除所有文件，再尝试重新安装。

安装的时候选择包括NTLM的混合验证方式呢？

SQL server ODBC驱动程序明显有问题了。请问那里有单纯这个驱动程序下载吗？或者它在SQL2000四合一的光盘里面的哪个地方吗？

下载了mdac2.8，装了。可是安装SQL2000的时候，它会安装2.6的。

非服务器操作系统只能安装MSDE或SQL Server客户端。

mssql安装程序带的mdac版本低了一点，但这不会影响系统稳定性，win2k的wfp机制可以解决这个问题。

建议先卸载怀疑可能引起冲突的其他软件再试试。或者找一台全新安装操作系统的机器试试看到底问题出在哪里

你的ODBC没有删除，所以一的CLIENT还在视图和SQL SERVER通讯，你可以先删除原来的ODBC的连接，再删除REGISTER的SQLSERVER的信息（AS ToUpdate(更新换代) ).
从新启动SERVER,然后再从新安装SQLSERVER。
