#1 The current applications of Atmosphere are basically experimental now. I'm sure they are waiting for the final release for commercial applications. Would you want to developed a commercial application based on a beta and hope Adobe doesn't change a function you may be relying on?
#2 Atmosphere's rendering and physics engine are being updated in the next beta release. Hardware acceleration is expected to be added along with Havok Hard Core Physics Engine and Virtools Player. Flash support is also being strongly considered and may be included in the next beta release.
#3 The browser plug-in most likely will be reduced in size in later releases. In all essence the "plug-in" is a complete independent browser for Atmosphere worlds.
#4 Viewpoint makes a plug-in for 3d studio max, Lightwaves and Carrara to export to viewpoint format and thus into Atmosphere. I'm sure Adobe will add the importing of geometry from other applications, but since there is already another method, it will probably be added in a later beta release.
#5 What alternative scripting method would you prefer? C++? javascript is freely available and is used by a large portion of the web community already. I personally don't want to be limited to a set of predefined scripts built into the Atmosphere builder although I sure Adobe will include some to help new users.
#6 Again, something that will be resolved later. Since Adobe is currently providing access to their servers for free, it really isn't too much of a problem for now.
#7 I'm sure Adobe will have a multi-lingual version by it's commercial release along with a Mac version. Please make sure that you got to the feature request page for Adobe Atmosphere and ask that the Chinese language is supported. I would also recommend that you suggest Chinese dialects
