这是英国网友Morphius开发的新版3DML Studio的设计理念,不要错过这个杀手级软件哟:)
3DML Studio should hopefully be ready for a commercial release in Jan/Feb 2002. The reason for the delay is that I'm redesigning the interface, much better, quicker and stable, and also fixing the bugs that have been found. The other holdups are normal day to day stuff, proposals and a new,but old software product that should hopefully be available for Christmas. More later.
3DML Studio is undergoing a major facelift, as well as rebuilding some of the code. The main problem that it has is that it can not accomodate custom blocksets. I see this as a major drawback, especially as I seem to create a new blockset for each new spot I build!
I am doing some exploratory coding on a much more advanced editor that will give the builder the freedom to utilise any resource that is present on their machine, including all blocksets (and blocks), any texture (as long as it's 3DML compliant), scripting support - library and verification, utilistaion of suitable sounds, steaming media, symbol checking, map style checking, a new map editing system, 3D File format import filters (*.3ds, etc etc), a block scaling and translation feature, blockset creation feature and a whole bunch of stuff I haven't thought of yet.
This new project is going to done in my own time at home, so it's progress will be slower, but I intend to spend the time wisely and get the right features in it and make sure that they work correctly.
All that exists at the moment are a whole bunch of functions and I have about 30% of it done so far.
This new project will not be officially started until 3DML Studio is released.
I suppose it could be asked, why bother with 3DML Studio and just finish the new project and release that. Well 3DML Studio has been re-directed and is now going to be nothing more than an offline spotnik, whereas the new project will allow be for the experienced builder, who doesn't have a problem dealing with the nuts and bolts of 3DML.

请问现在有没有用三维软件直接输出3dml块的插件或者转换软件?好久都没碰这个东西也不知道发展成什么样子了~

其实我把物件包(block)解开看了一下,有点像vrml,反正是一些乱七八糟的数据,所以我觉得我们自己可以开发一个比较好用的转换软件~

感觉有点像xml~ 只不过很多不合规范的地方,毕竟3dml在xml规范退出前就诞生了~
