Step.1

Run Photoshop 7 at first,created a new document,I choice a medium canvas size.

Created a new layer rename [sketch],and set the layer blend mode to [Multiply]. I scribbled something quick.for the pose,the big shapes. I used the [Zhuzhu Rough Pastel 25](one of my custom brushes).looks a lot like a real pastel or chalk work.

Created another new layer,rename [colorize].used the [Zhuzhu Basic Round 60]for the basic color.I started at skin part.

Go ahead,still used the round brush and add hairs and dress.very simple areas of light and dark.

I started to get more specific, experimenting with different values.still keep the big shapes and rough looking,don't worry about details.

Then used [Zhuzhu Digital Airbrush 70]for face rendering.got some soft and smooth look.

I start added a lot of details, as well as removing other things. I used [Zhuzhu Oil Pastel 45] for the strong brushwork and add some soft textures.

keep going on,draw the dress part,keep the shapes more simpliy.

Open a texture image,you can search from web or scan something.drag image as a new layer add,set [Soft Light]mode,30% opacity.

Ctrl+L,adjust the Levels. do more details and make up until finish.
